Kristin and Nick are engaged!
What a fun Sunday morning this shoot was at beautiful Apple Works in Trafalgar. During the Fall Foliage Festival I had raffled off a free session and my lucky winner was Sue Padgett! Sue and her husband, Rex, were interested in doing a family session since Sue's daughter, Ashley, and her family would be in from Florida. They picked Apple Works and it was stunning! The night before the session Sue called me to tell me that Nick was intending on asking her daughter, Kristin, to marry him at the end of the session. We had a great time exploring while there and I had a lot of fun with Rex and Sue's grandson's, Colton and Ashtin. No one was aware of Nick's plans except for Sue, Rex, Nick and myself so it was truly a surprise to everyone!
When we were wrapping up Nick finally decided on where he wanted to make this happen and Kristin was shocked! She did not have any idea. Nick revealed that he had already spoken to her father and gained his approval and had been driving around with her ring in his trunk for a while. While there we grabbed a few shots of just the two of them.
In December Kristin and Sue came in and talked to me about photographing their October wedding at Mallow Run Winery. It's going to be a beautiful affair with the bridesmaids dressed in plum and will take place at sunset. Kristin's dress is stunning and will set the tone for the entire ceremony. It's going to be amazing! Congratulations Nick and Kristin and I am so excited to work with you in February to capture your gorgeous engagement pictures in the snow!
